HubSpot Unbound 2026: What I Saw, What Changed, and What I Would Do Next
September 20th, 2026
If you already live in HubSpot, HubSpot Unbound 2026 is not a reason to rip anything out. It is a reason to look at what HubSpot now knows about your business, because every new agent will read that first. If Context Home is wrong, the agents will be confidently wrong at scale.
If you are shopping CRMs, or sitting on Salesforce, Pipedrive, or a pile of spreadsheets, Unbound is the first time I would tell you to judge HubSpot as a full customer platform, not as the marketing tool with a CRM attached. The question is not whether it has AI. Everyone has AI. The question is whether context, records, and agents sit in one system you can actually govern.
I was in Boston last week for HubSpot Unbound 2026. More than 15,000 people. Enterprise customers, first-time prospects, HubSpot reps, and agency partners in the same rooms. The energy was not look at this demo. It was people trading what they had already tried, for the same reason: get more out of the platform that is now clearly built around agents.
If your data is messy, these agents will scale the mess. If your data is honest, this is the most useful HubSpot has ever been.
HubSpot’s own claim, and I will label it as theirs, is that Professional and Enterprise customers using AI with high-quality context create 3.6x more MQLs, win 3.2x more deals, and close over 2x more tickets than similar accounts not using AI. Yamini Rangan put the real point on stage: AI with bad context is worse than no AI. A SaaS team we work with wanted agents on before properties, lifecycle stages, and notes were clean. We paused the rollout, fixed the foundation, and the first agent actually stuck. That sequence is the Unbound story.

What Unbound Actually Is
HubSpot now calls itself an agentic customer platform. Strip the slogan and you get three layers.
- What HubSpot knows: Smart CRM and Context Home. The business, the team, the customer.
- What it can do: Breeze Assistant, the hubs, and the agents that execute.
- How you stay in control: Agent Hub, connectors, credits, approvals, and an audit trail.
One naming change is worth saying out loud. Breeze is no longer the name of every AI thing in the product. Breeze Assistant stays. The rest is just HubSpot. That is useful. It stops people treating AI like a bolt-on they can ignore.
If you already pay for HubSpot, this is why your ICP, brand voice, and notes suddenly matter more than a new workflow. If you are evaluating a switch, stacking ChatGPT on top of your current CRM is a weaker story than it was a year ago.
HubSpot published the full Fall Spotlight catalog at hubspot.com/spotlight. I am not going to recap 134 items. I am going to tell you what I would actually open this week.
Start here: Context Home and the CRM that updates itself
Context Home is the screen that shows what HubSpot currently believes about you. Growth Context is the idea. Context Home is where you read it and correct it. The self-updating CRM logs calls, emails, and meetings so reps are not the bottleneck for did anyone update the record.
Agents read this first. That is the entire point. If Context Home says you sell to anyone with a pulse, Prospecting Agent will hunt anyone with a pulse. If it says you are a premium marine brand that only works with owners above a certain boat length, the same agent behaves like it works for you.
HubSpot’s guardrails here are the part I actually trust. Values you edit should lock against automated overwrites. Documents you upload should produce suggestions for review, not silent writes. Completeness scoring is not a vanity metric. It is a punch list.
How I would use it. Open Agents, then Agent Hub, then Context. Read it like a stranger. If you would not hand that ICP to a new hire on day one, do not let an agent use it. Review auto-captured notes and one-click field updates. Humans approve. That is non-negotiable.
Context Home is available on all plans. The Notetaker and self-updating CRM matter most for sales and service seats, and they still require a human to review. HubSpot’s product page for Context Home is here. The setup steps live in the Knowledge Base.
I worked with a marine client this year where the CRM never reflected the real conversation after a boat show or a customer visit. Pipeline reviews were a memory test. Once notes and follow-ups started landing on the record automatically, the forecast stopped depending on whoever happened to be in the room. Earlier this year HubSpot redesigned CRM index pages so you can actually see the work. This release is the other half. Seeing the record is useless if the record is still a week behind.
If you are evaluating HubSpot, ask to see Context Home in the demo. If they skip it and go straight to a landing page builder, you are still watching last year’s tour. If you want that walkthrough from our team, book time on my calendar.
Breeze Assistant is no longer a chat box
I used to treat Breeze Assistant like a smarter search bar. That version is gone.
You can ask, build, and create without leaving the conversation. Projects remember context across chats. Voice works on mobile. It shows up in Slack and Gmail. Artifacts are real documents generated from CRM data, not a blob of text you paste into Google Docs. You can @mention agents from the chat. Assistant orchestrates. Agents do the work.
The win is not AI that talks. The win is AI that stays attached to the record, the campaign, and the deal. Breeze Assistant itself should not burn credits. The agents it calls might. Say that out loud before a VP treats a Friday experiment as a line item surprise.
If you already live in HubSpot, put one recurring job in it this week. A weekly pipeline recap. A campaign brief. A meeting follow-up pack. If you are evaluating HubSpot, this is the interface a non-admin owner can actually use in a demo.

Agent Hub and Agent Builder: this is where ops either wins or creates chaos
Agent Hub is the inventory. Every agent in the portal, in one place. What is on, who owns it, what it is producing. Agent Builder is how marketing, sales, and service each spin something up, including from an existing workflow, Slack, a spreadsheet, or a schedule. Simulation mode exists so you can watch it before you publish.
Unbound makes it easy for three departments to each launch an agent by Friday. That is the opportunity and the risk. If nobody owns the inventory, you will have three nurture agents writing in three voices.
The rules I would put in every portal:
- Named owner per agent
- Simulation first
- Caps and alerts before anything metered goes live
- No unsupervised writes to records until the team has watched a full cycle
I have been writing about building HubSpot AI agents that actually do work for months. The difference now is HubSpot finally gave you a cockpit. Use it. If your portal already has agents running and nobody owns them, grab 20 minutes on my calendar and we will inventory it together.
Agent Hub. How Agent Hub works. Agent Builder. How to create an agent.
Marketing Hub: Studio, three agents, and AEO as a loop
Do not start with a feature list. Start with a campaign you already run.
Marketing Studio is one workspace for the plan, the assets, and the automation. It is Pro and above territory. The point is to stop bouncing from brief to CMS to workflow to ads and losing the thread. HubSpot’s page is here.
The three demand agents, in language I would use with a client, live here.
Campaign Agent. Here is the goal, the AEO gap, or the call transcript. Build the connected plan.
Content Agent. Drafts the work and grades it against the brief, not a blank form.
Nurture Agent. Rewrites the email at send time from the actual contact. This is the one that will scare people if context is thin. A contact with three empty properties and a generic lifecycle stage will get a generic email, just faster.
AEO, answer engine optimization, is HubSpot measuring whether AI answers mention you. I will not promise rankings. I will promise a system: find the gap, plan, write, nurture, measure again. That loop is the useful story. The rest is noise.
A customer we onboarded in e-commerce had content that never connected to nurture. Blog posts shipped. Social shipped. Nobody got a follow-up unless a human remembered. Once the plan and the send lived in one place, they stopped publishing assets with no automated next step.
Ads, short and honest. ChatGPT Ads, Microsoft Advertising, and Reddit are in the Spotlight. Only spend time here if you already run paid. Do not let a new ad channel distract you from Context Home.
Sales Hub and Revenue: Fewer admin hours, not a magic closer
Prospecting Agent got a real rebuild. On-demand sourcing, email memory, brand voice per Play, company fit scoring, more buying signals. It is good for teams with no SDR bench. It is dangerous if your ICP in Context Home is anyone with a budget.
Deal Progression, formerly Smart Deal Progression, reads emails, calls, and meetings, then suggests CRM updates and next steps. Treat the suggestions as a draft, not gospel. Core should be included with the seat. HubSpot’s Knowledge Base walkthrough is here.
Notetaker on mobile is how the self-updating CRM actually gets fed. One tap after a meeting beats a Friday data-entry session that never happens.
Revenue Agent is accounts receivable. Say it that way. It follows up on invoices. Credits can fire when outreach starts, so do not turn it on as a curiosity.
Quotes, payments, and Deal Plans are HubSpot catching the commercial layer up. Quotes still fail when products, price books, and approval rules are a mess. Clean that before you ask an agent to generate a quote in fifteen minutes.
Service Hub: Customer Agent grew up
Customer Agent now covers voice, payment links, invoices, knowledge generation, handoff rules, audience segments, and Help Desk status. There is a Knowledge Base Agent, plus product usage and CS revenue reporting for teams that actually have a success motion.
Set the escape hatch before you turn on voice. A Customer Agent with weak handoff guidelines will trap an angry customer in a loop, and you will hear about it from a VP, not from the ticket.

What I would do this week
If you already live in HubSpot:
- Open Context Home. Correct ICP, brand voice, and how you sell.
- Open Agent Hub. List what is on. Assign owners. Turn off orphans.
- Turn on Notetaker or auto-capture for one team, with required review.
- Run one agent in simulation. Campaign or Deal Progression, not five at once.
- Set credit caps before anyone just tries Nurture or Prospecting.
If you are evaluating HubSpot or switching:
- Judge the platform on whether context, CRM, and agents sit in one system.
- Ask to see Context Home and Agent Hub in the demo, not another landing page builder tour.
- Budget for HubSpot implementation and data cleanup. The AI is not the project. The foundation is.
- Bring your current stack’s pain, disconnected notes, no attribution, service in another tool, and map it to this release, not to a feature bingo card.
What can wait: HubSpot Work in beta, every Customer Agent toggle, Lovable, MCP, and partner asset portability. Interesting. Not this week.
If you want help mapping this to your portal, that is the work we do as a Platinum HubSpot Solutions Partner and HubSpot consultant. Our HubSpot solutions page is the overview. To talk it through, book time on my calendar.
Frequently Asked Questions about HubSpot Unbound 2026
What did HubSpot actually announce at Unbound 2026?
The spine is Growth Context, a self-updating Smart CRM, a rebuilt Breeze Assistant, Agent Hub, Agent Builder, Marketing Studio, and agents for demand, deals, revenue, and service. Start with Context Home, then pick one motion.
I already use HubSpot. What should I turn on first?
Context Home, then Agent Hub. Correct what HubSpot believes about your business, inventory what is already running, and only then simulate one agent. Turning everything on at once is how you get three voices and a credit spike.
We are considering switching to HubSpot. Does Unbound change the evaluation?
Yes. Judge HubSpot as a customer platform where context, CRM, and agents live together. Ask to see Context Home and Agent Hub in the demo. Budget for data cleanup. The AI is not the reason to switch if the foundation will still be a mess on day 30. If you want a partner-led evaluation, book time on my calendar.
What is Growth Context, and do I have to set it up?
Growth Context is HubSpot’s name for the combined picture of your business, your team, and your customers. Context Home is the screen where you read and correct it. You do not have to fill every field on day one. You do have to stop agents from running on an ICP you would not show a new hire.
Does Breeze Assistant cost credits now?
Breeze Assistant itself should not consume credits. The agents it calls, Content, Campaign, Nurture, Prospecting, Revenue, Customer, Data, and custom agents, typically do. Set caps before you experiment.
Should I turn on all the new agents at once?
No. Simulate one. Watch a cycle. Then decide. Unbound made it easy to launch. It did not make it free of consequences.
Is this only for Enterprise?
No. Context Home and Breeze Assistant are on all plans, including Free. Agent Hub and Agent Builder are generally available for Professional and Enterprise, with Starter rolling out. Marketing Studio is Pro and above. Check HubSpot for the current matrix on your hubs.
Let's Talk HubSpot
If you were at Unbound, or you have been staring at the Spotlight page wondering what to do first, I would rather walk your portal with you than send you another feature list. Gresham Group is a Platinum HubSpot Solutions Partner. For current customers, that usually means Context Home, an agent inventory, and a credit cap before anything metered goes live. For teams evaluating HubSpot, it means an honest look at whether this foundation is the right move, and what cleanup has to happen before agents are useful. Book time on my calendar, or reach out at gresham-group.com/contact/ whenever you are ready.
